The Power of Same

DAY 12 OF 28

THE POWER OF SAME ACTIONS

Keep Going

God is unstoppable. But we can limit ourselves by not making room for God in our lives.

When the prophet Elisha commanded a woman with nothing but a few jars and a little oil to collect jars from her neighbors, she had no idea what was in store. But, because she was willing to humble herself and do what God instructed, He miraculously multiplied the oil that would pour into the jars she collected. In fact, the oil only stopped flowing when she ran out of jars.

The best way to keep the blessing and favor of God flowing in our lives is to continually put out jars for Him to fill.

God loves to bless His children. But our capacity to receive God's blessing is determined by our persistence in following Him. From our relationships to our jobs to our families to our finances, this means taking an honest look at everything we do and everything we have in our lives.

Have we maxed out our potential by trying to live within our own abilities?

Or, are we offering up jar after jar for God to use in order to bring honor to His Kingdom?

Pray:

God, You are the source of everything good in my life. I pray that You will show me what it means to offer all of my life to You so that You can bless me and help me to know You more. I need You more than I need what I can gain on my own. In Jesus' name, Amen.

About this Plan

The Power of Same

The world celebrates change. God celebrates consistency. Learning how to stay committed to the same Spirit, Actions, Mission, and Environment unlocks the Power of Same in our lives, and helps us establish the good habit of fulfilling Jesus’ greatest command: loving Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Every day. Again and again.
