Praying God's Word Over Your Kids: Part 2Sample

Praying God's Word Over Your Kids: Part 2

DAY 7 OF 7

We are in a battle. A spiritual one. The forces of evil never take a day off from tormenting us and hope that their efforts lead to our self-destruction. My apologies for being Debbie Downer but this, my friend, is the truth.

The good news about the battle we are in is that the war has already been won. Jesus is the Victor and will return for us to take us to our true home. But, in the meantime, we must stand our ground, recognizing that we don’t have to live in fear of the attacks of the enemy. Greater is He who is in us than the measly little one who is in the world.

As we resist the devil and stand firm on the truth of God’s Word, let’s pray down heaven and earth over the children we love so dearly so that they, too, can stand their ground.

●The Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect ____________ from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

●____________ is more than a conqueror through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate ____________ from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:37-39)

●____________ will submit herself to God. She will resist the devil and he will flee from her. (James 4:7)

●Finally, ____________ will be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. She will put on the full armor of God, so that she can take a stand against the devil’s schemes. For ____________’s struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore ____________ will put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, she may be able to stand her ground, and after she has done everything, to stand. ____________ will stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around her waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with her feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, ____________ will take up the shield of faith, with which she can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. ____________ will take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And she will pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, she will be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. (Ephesians 6:10-18)

Day 6

About this Plan

Praying God's Word Over Your Kids: Part 2

Praying for our children is instinctual as parents. We are constantly praying for their health, well being and happiness. All of those are great, but let's go deeper in our prayers for them. As Jesus followers, the Word of God is our foundation for truth and because of that, it makes sense that we should use it as our guide. Join Cindy as she shares prayers with you that she has prayed over her three sons and walk in faith that you will see it all come to pass in your own children's lives.
