Praying God's Word Over Your Kids: Part 2

DAY 6 OF 7

“Words have power” is a phrase that my children have heard over and over again from me. What comes from our lips actually originates from our hearts. And we can either use our words to build up or tear down. Simple as that.

I want my sons to have pure hearts that lead them to make wise choices with their words. But sometimes they may just have to make the choice to say the right thing even if their hearts want to do the opposite or when anger or frustration set in.

May our children not be death-bringers with their words but instead be life-speakers who season all conversations with the good news and hope of Jesus Christ.

●____________’s conversation will always be full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that he may know how to answer everyone. (Colossians 4:6)

●Set a guard over ____________’s mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of his lips. (Psalm 141:3)

●____________ will not let any unwholesome talk come out of his mouth, but only what is helpful building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. (Ephesians 4:29)

●____________ will be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. (James 1:19)

●When ____________ is angry, he will not sin. ____________ will not let the sun go down while he is still angry and he will not give the devil a foothold. (Ephesians 4:26-27)

About this Plan

Praying God's Word Over Your Kids: Part 2

Praying for our children is instinctual as parents. We are constantly praying for their health, well being and happiness. All of those are great, but let's go deeper in our prayers for them. As Jesus followers, the Word of God is our foundation for truth and because of that, it makes sense that we should use it as our guide. Join Cindy as she shares prayers with you that she has prayed over her three sons and walk in faith that you will see it all come to pass in your own children's lives.
