Unseen Yet Seen

DAY 2 OF 5

Thankful At All Times

The journey of faith in which we see sights unseen every day and every moment, is not an easy journey, may I assure you! It’s not easy to keep moving when humanly we have every reason to doubt, when we are too prone to faint under the weight of many burdens, when we feel bewildered in being stretched beyond our limits and when we feel too weak and weary!

This is where love that’s anchored in our LORD keeps us steady, keeps us moving and keeps us renewed. It’s a beautiful experience in which our gratitude shapes our attitude. In my book UNSEEN YET SEEN, I have enunciated what Corrie Ten Boom once told my father when he met her in Amsterdam in 1983. She shared that she lived her life under the motto “Wherever God leads me I will follow, whatever He feeds me I will swallow!” I grew up learning that a divine contentment in every circumstance of our lives makes us equipped and empowered to the plans of our LORD. We can’t afford to grumble and stumble on petty things in this pilgrim journey here in Earth, when we set our eyes upon an eternal Father and move according to His will. He is paving the way so perfectly, and He who has called us will be faithful forever! It’s just that when we feel too tired or weak or heavy laden, we just have to find the inner strength to keep seeing through our mind’s eyes that He is near and He won’t ever leave us and that He will have His way!

We can say a ‘thank you’ just for the sake of saying it. In today’s times where words are but mere words, we are meant to give life to each and every word or deed we do by making it converge to the will of our Father. Therefore, for Christian believers, I believe that gratitude should be the raw emotion, the first thought, that spurts from the soul at every moment. As I’ve told you, it’s hard. It’s not as easy as it seems. But when we persevere in instilling such virtues, even when the trials are too severe, it builds character– character that tunes itself to the heart of our LORD. He. brings hope in this journey here in earth, and this hope never disappoints us. Why? When everything in this world is bent down to disappoint us, why is it that this hope never ever disappoints us? Because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us!

How can we not be thankful when our Father in Heaven has lavished His love upon us?

About this Plan

Unseen Yet Seen

In our pilgrim life here on Earth, we all are in a constant search for truth, love, wisdom and reasoning. This search finds meaning only when we search beyond the ambit of our mortal senses!  This journey is but a journey in which we learn to open our mind’s eyes,  to fix our eyes on Jesus and through Him, see an eternity outstretched before us in His abundant grace!
