GIORNO 22 DI 31

Criminal Prosecution and Transformation: Praying for the Lost Read: 1 Timothy 2:1-7 The Apostle Paul was a tireless missionary who traveled the Roman Empire encouraging believers, preaching the gospel, and planting churches. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, he penned 13 of the 27 New Testament books, which have been used to transform the lives of countless people, generation after generation. But before his conversion, Paul (then known as Saul) was admittedly the worst of sinners. He was an oppressor and murderer of innocent people, mercilessly persecuting the church. Given his terrible reputation, it was difficult for believers to fathom that Paul could ever experience a genuine conversion. Yet his transformation was undeniable. Paul was still breathing out murderous threats and seeking to take prisoner any followers of Jesus when the Lord dramatically revealed himself. God chose to use Paul as an instrument to display his immense patience and to spread the gospel message. No one is too far from God’s reach. Let us keep this in mind as we pray for lost pimps, traffickers, and johns this week. Discussion Questions for Reflection and Application 1. Do you find it difficult to pray for pimps and traffickers? 2. What do you believe is God’s ultimate desire for the lost? 3. In Matthew 5, Jesus tells us that it’s not enough to love your neighbor and hate your enemy. Instead, we are called to also love our enemy. Take a moment to ponder this call. Ask the Lord to align your heart with His as you pray for pimps, traffickers, and johns this week.
