Hope 4 Today: Staying Connected To God In A Distracted CultureSýnishorn
An Inkling of Love
In the movie Star Wars, Han Solo had an inkling—a funny feeling about “the old man and the kid” (Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker). In the end, his knowledge of “the force” allowed him to find more than riches and fame; he also found purpose and love.
When God’s force—the Holy Spirit—takes control of our lives, we find contentment, purpose, and ultimate love. In our chaotic world, God’s ultimate plan is being fulfilled, but it requires three steps of faith.
First, we must recognize that He’s the Supreme Authority; second, we need an unbreakable connection with Him; and third, we must act on the knowledge that God will complete His plan in us and not apart from Him.
God is not asking us to be spiritual; we’re to be relational. He wants us to relate with our hearts, our minds, and our inklings of hope. Our heart knowledge synchronizes with our mind as we read His Word and spend time in prayer. Through the connection of prayer, we’re able to take control of our lives to fight the forces that rage during chaotic circumstances. His force—the Holy Spirit—is with us.
Have you ever had an inkling of love that surpasses knowledge? Navigate in the knowledge of God’s world, and may His Spirit be with you.
