Good Morning Girls - EasterSýnishorn
At the Lord’s Supper, Jesus is surrounded by His twelve disciples, some of His closest companions with whom He will spend His last days on earth. They’ve lived life together, have done ministry together, have learned from Jesus’ example, and have united for the same supreme cause: to know Jesus and to make His name known. United until now, that is. Jesus joins His disciples at the supper table, and shares astonishing and heartbreaking news: Judas will betray Him. The conversation turns from camaraderie to discord as God’s plan continues to be revealed.
These verses beg for me to examine my own heart. “Is it I, Lord?” When worldly pressures and enticements try to lure me from following Jesus, do I give in and betray my Lord? Oh Father, keep my eyes fixed on You. Give me strength to stand strong and not be tempted by earthly pleasures that will compromise my commitment to You. Jesus, you deserve all of me. Help me to not hold anything back as I follow hard after You!
