DAY 10: ROOTED IN GOD'S COMMISSION
Key verse: “Sun, stand still over Gibeon...” - Joshua 10:12-13
“Sun, stand still!” Easily one of the boldest declarations ever made. In Joshua 10, we witness this incredible moment when Joshua commands the sun to stop in its tracks. And it did! It wasn’t just a statement of hope; it was a bold, faith-filled command from someone who had deeply internalised God’s commission.
Joshua knew that God had called him and the Israelites to victory, and that conviction gave him the audacity to ask for the impossible. He was able to make such a radical declaration because he had internalised God’s commission. Internalising God’s commission begins with immersing ourselves in His Word and spending time in His presence.
As we do so, we move from simply knowing about His purpose to living it out with conviction. Whether in ministry, work, or in our personal lives, when we truly internalise our commission, we can pray with greater confidence, serve with deeper passion, and trust God for bigger miracles.
As we step into God’s purpose for us, let us declare His surpassing power and authority over the challenges that we face. Like Joshua, let us boldly speak His word over impossible situations we face and believe for miraculous turnarounds! Let us authoritatively call into existence miracles that don’t exist, as though they do.
From the mission that is internalised will come faith declarations that will move mountains … and in this case… even the sun! When God’s commission moves from our heads to our hearts, it changes everything!
