Light of the World

DAY 24 OF 30

SILENT NIGHT PREPARATIONS

Spend some time today intentionally preparing your home, your calendar, and your hearts to honor our Savior this evening for the humble sacrifice of love that He made for us. Here are a few suggested ways to prepare for an intentional Christmas Eve:

  • Activity: Prepare your home by putting away things that distract or don’t matter.
  • Activity: Prepare a simple meal for the family to enjoy together tonight.
  • Activity: Light a candle at the dinner table and read Luke 1:1-21 (young families) or Luke 1:1-38 (families with teens) together as a family.
  • Ask: (Young Families): What does it mean to celebrate Christmas?
  • Ask: (Teens): What does Christmas seem to mean to your friends? What does it mean to you?
  • Spend some time praying together as a family, thanking God for anything and everything your family shares at the table, and for the gift of love that He gave us through the birth, life, and sacrifice of His Son, Jesus, for our redemption.

About this Plan

Light of the World

The Light of the World shines from the dawn of Creation to the End of Days. From the beginning of time to the one bright and shining Star of Bethlehem, God, in his vast love for us, has made a way. He made a way for us to clearly see and follow one light, one way, one truth. Jesus.
