Man of God: What Does a Man of God Look Like?

DAY 2 OF 8

Men of God Live in the Power of the Holy Spirit

A man of God seeks the power of the Holy Spirit daily and lives in that power. He is not content to live without the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit. He knows that in his own strength, he can accomplish nothing of lasting value on earth.

Men of God don’t allow themselves to be deceived by all kinds of emotional manifestations and arguments that have nothing to do with the power of the Spirit of God. They seek the anointing of the Lord for their work in every area of life. They bear the fruit of the Spirit: The fruit of the Spirit, on the other hand, is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, kindness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

These are the kinds of men through whom God brings transformation: in their families, congregations, communities, and every place in society in which they are influential. These men pray for the powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the church, their marriages, and their children.

Men of God pray for the power of the Holy Spirit so that they can be witnesses who invite people to turn away from sin and towards Jesus (Acts1:8)

Men of God live in the power of the Holy Spirit and testify to Jesus's crucifixion and resurrection from the dead (Acts 4:33). They pray until they are filled with the Holy Spirit and can boldly proclaim the word of God (Acts 4:31).

Men of God use the gifts that the Holy Spirit gives them to bless other believers and to share the gospel with the world.

They understand that they cannot live by their own strength - that God has given them the Holy Spirit as their Helper to pray (Romans 8:26-27). These are men who are open to the guidance and teaching of the Holy Spirit, the One who leads them in truth (John 14:16, 26; 16:13)

A man of God does not resist the Holy Spirit (Acts 7:51), does not lie to the Spirit (Acts 5:1-5), does not grieve the Spirit (Ephesians 4:30), does not quench the Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19), and does not offend the Holy Spirit of grace through their unbelief (Hebrews 10:29).

About this Plan

Man of God: What Does a Man of God Look Like?

We need men of God today. They must be men with God's character, sanctified, broken, humble, and serving their families, churches, and communities with integrity, purity, righteousness, and dignity. Such men will be like salt, bringing hope to the world and the people around them.
