The Book of Daniel with KidsSýnishorn
King Belshazzar didn’t learn his lesson from his ancestor Nebuchadnezzar. Both kings thought they were the ones who should get to call the shots and get all the credit for their accomplishments. God put both of them in their place. We should learn our lesson from this wicked king in the Bible without waiting for someone to spell it out for us.
Daniel didn’t want the honor for interpreting the message because he knew this gift came from God. He also gave God full credit for what happened to Nebuchadnezzar and for what the writing said would happen to Belshazzar. No one is worthy or deserving of praise, glory, or honor except God. He has all the power. We must honor Him like that. Nothing and nobody can come before Him in our lives. The way we act must demonstrate that He is #1 in our lives. We must worship God alone, He's the one who's on the throne!
