The Book of Daniel with Kids

DAY 19 OF 22

This story comes many years after our first story about Daniel eating vegetables as a teenager. Daniel was an old man by the time he faced the lions’ den. He had been doing what’s right for so long, that he knew he could trust God. You’ve probably seen the sun come up many times in your life. When it gets dark at night, do you have any problem believeing the sun will come up again in the morning?

You can have a good idea of what will happen because you’ve seen it happen over and over. When we live a life of trusting God like Daniel, we know we can keep trusting Him. Daniel knew that because he had spent his whole life putting his trust in God. You may feel like people are out to get you. So did Daniel. You may face suffering for doing what’s right. So did Daniel. These stories about Daniel’s life may seem amazing—like something out of a fairy tale. But your life can be just that amazing when you trust God and make the right choices over and over again. Even if you face a long, dark night, you can still stand up for what is right.
