31 Values to Pray for Your Kids

DAY 11 OF 31

Faithfulness

We earnestly desire our children to develop a heart of faithfulness to God, mirroring what we receive from Him. In a world filled with distractions and shifting values, we must pray they will remain steadfast and loyal to their word.

Proverbs 3:3 encourages us to let love and faithfulness never leave us, to bind them around our necks and write them on the tablets of our hearts. We want our children to internalize this teaching and allow faithfulness to become a defining characteristic of their lives. We want our children to understand that being faithful means staying true to their commitments, upholding their promises, and walking in love.

Psalm 119:90 tells us of God's enduring faithfulness through all generations. We hope our children will recognize that God’s faithfulness is the foundation on which they can build their lives. He will remain loyal to them, guiding and supporting them in every circumstance.

The story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3 is a powerful example of unwavering faithfulness. Despite facing the fiery furnace, they remained faithful to God, trusting Him with their lives. We can draw inspiration from their courage and steadfastness, learning to stay loyal to God despite challenges and trials.

Pray:

Father, in Jesus’ name, we lift our children to you, asking that you cultivate a spirit of faithfulness within them. Help them to embrace the virtues of love and devotion, binding these qualities to their hearts. May they recognize your unwavering faithfulness through all generations and find strength in your constant presence in their lives. Inspire them with the example of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, teaching them to stand firm in their faith no matter their trials. Guide them to be faithful in their commitments, true to their promises, and steadfast in their walk with you. We pray in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus, amen.
