When I Feel I'm Not Good Enough
Who qualifies?
In God's eyes, all of us qualify to be helped and loved by Him. He is the God of hope. He is the gracious and merciful God. He is the God who forgives and no longer thinks about our sins. He heals. He restores. He is the God who makes new again. He is the God of New Beginnings. He is the Friend of tax collectors and sinners.
He is the God who is our shadow. Think about it: we shadow. Psalm 91:1-2 says we may sit in His shadow, but sometimes He, the sovereign God, chooses to be our shadow: "The Lord is your shadow at your right hand" (Psalm 121:5).
He never leaves us but comes to walk with us and identify with us. He is not embarrassed to be our God. There are not times when God is ashamed of us and does not want to be seen with us.
Your sin and brokenness cannot surprise God; they can't be deeper than where God's grace can take you out.
God gave His Son so that none of us would have to be a pitiful, second-rate Christian.
Jesus is our Mediator and High Priest, the Righteous One — the One who redeems us from our sins and has compassion for all our weaknesses. God knows that we are made of dust; in fact, He made us. But God is greater than our weaknesses and sins. Our sins and weakness do not intimidate Him. It doesn't embarrass him. He doesn't stand helpless, rubbing hands because he doesn't know what to do with us. No, He is a strong Saviour. He is our Helper. He provided for us the Easter Lamb. He is to us like the shadow of a great rock in a barren land. He is the Balm of Gilead, the cure for every wound and disease. Jesus’ wounds on the cross made it possible.
About this Plan
All of us go through life with much pain, failures, and regrets. So often, we despair of ourselves. We come to a point where we do not feel useful or worthy and also think even God will not waste His time with us. May the following Scriptures and devotions be helpful to you.
