BE THE MAN WHO CHOOSES FIRM STEPS
We’ve all experienced setbacks that have left us sitting in a filthy pit of despair, wondering how we’ll ever get out of this mess. We live on the fringes of this pit every day. One false move, and we’re stuck and in need of help. But Psalm 40:2 offers some great news: we have a flashlight! Every day, we can access the wisdom of God’s Word to confidently know where to step. Sometimes, spiritual failure is the most effective way to learn wisdom. But this route is never mandatory or even advisable. Intentionally breaking God’s law to gain a better testimony should never be your goal. You’ll never gain God’s strength by disregarding His guidance or walking with the wrong company. When you refuse strength that only God can give, you declare that you intend to remain weak. Does that sound like a good admission to you? You can—and should—be a man of strength. You can be weak all by yourself, but strength is a gift sourced in God. Allow Him to release your feet from the “sin mud” that keeps you a prisoner to bad choices. Then. . .watch your step!
Where have your spiritual feet led you lately? How often do you let God know you want to be strong?
Was this plan helpful? We adapted it from the book Man of Strength by Glenn Hascall.

About this Plan
Men, set a powerful example for the world. Be the person God wants you to be with Man of Strength. Each entry encourages you to “be the man”—who relies on God, exercises his spiritual muscles, and denies yourself the thoughts and actions that create weakness.
