Wealthy Women ProsperSýnishorn
I underestimated what God would do for me. Yes - I’ll be HOT, as we say in our community - honest, open, and transparent. I admit that. After my marriage ended, I didn’t think that God would ever do anything amazing for me (a bit dramatic, I know!).
I believed that God would bless others, but as much as I may not have wanted to say it, I didn’t believe in God’s overwhelming goodness for myself.
You may have been in a situation where you looked at what God was doing for someone else and fully celebrated and believed in it, and at the same time, discounted the fact that He wants to do the same in your life.
Surrender means to give up or cease resistance, and in our third step, surrender, we come into a revelation that one of the main things we must let go of is control. Control aims to dictate the outcome. It says, “If these things don’t happen, then this certainly cannot happen.” Control believes that it knows best and tries to call the shots.
If you’re HOT with God, you’ll be able to admit to Him where you’ve dictated the outcome and where you’ve tried to call the shots. But if God can be HOT with you, which He will be, He will confirm within you that His ways were always higher than yours and that He’s always had a good plan for you, giving you peace.
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” Isaiah 55:8 (NLT)
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
Wealthy women prosper, and as you can see, your Heavenly Father’s intention has always been to prosper you. The thing is, He does it in ways beyond what you can imagine.
This is why we must surrender control. We must surrender our fixation on what we think the challenge we went through means. We also must surrender the need to make things work in a certain way to achieve a certain outcome in our lives. The root of control is pride, which says “I can do this on my own, and I don’t need anyone, even God.”
God despises pride because it negates His great love. Remember that God loved the world so much that He gave His son for us. If we could do it on our own, there would have been no need for Jesus’ sacrifice. A spirit of pride literally says, “I didn’t need Jesus’ sacrifice. I can do this thing called salvation on my own.”
In our pattern, sacrifice -> submission -> surrender -> elevation, this third step, surrender, is so key because it is when you reach the end of yourself that you find God. When you determine that you need God, every day, you honor Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. When you know you need salvation, you literally open your hands and let go of control.
God can fill open hands with beautiful blessings and elevated purpose.
manifestHERdaily Question of the Day: How would I rank myself on control, on a scale of 1-10, where 1 is “I control everything and have no faith” and 10 is “I have given it all to God, I don’t claim to control anything”? What can I do to increase or maintain that number?
Affirmation of the Day:
I am a wealthy woman who prospers, and I rely solely on God. I stand on the solid rock of Christ and believe by faith that God is performing works in my life that are beyond what I can understand. I affirm that God has ordered my steps and that His plan for me is better than good. I am grateful for the salvation that God provides me with every day, and I am assured of His bountiful goodness towards me, now and forever.
