Discovery Pathway Classes - Baptism and Spirit-Filled Living

DAY 29 OF 30

As we near the end of this plan, let’s review some things you have learned along the way. You have learned a great deal about living a Spirit-Filled life. You have learned about experiencing the power of prayer. You have also learned ways to get more from God’s Word each time you read it. These are opportunities for cultivating good soil in your life as you grow as a disciple of Jesus.

Submitting the driver’s seat of your life to the Holy Spirit is the best way to live your life. Spending time to “grasp” God’s Word will change your heart, mind, and spirit. Developing a balanced, continuous prayer life will allow you to develop a closer relationship with God.

Remember, prayer is a conversation, including both speaking and listening. Your prayer times may be a little slow and awkward at first, but as you get to know the voice of the Holy Spirit, you will get more comfortable enjoying time in prayer.

Today, spend a longer time in prayer than before. Consider setting an alarm for 10 minutes of prayer. To keep your prayer time balanced, use the ACTION method of prayer. Adore, Confess, Thank, Invite, Observe, Needs. After you pray, write down what you experienced, what God said, and what you are going to do about it.

About this Plan

Discovery Pathway Classes - Baptism and Spirit-Filled Living

Spiritual growth does not happen by accident! Jesus made it clear that the pathway to spiritual growth comes through abiding with him. This study will help you abide with Jesus each day and grow as his disciple in four aspects of the faith: Understanding the significance of baptism. Learning to live a Holy Spirit-directed life. Experiencing the power of prayer. Hearing God's voice through his Word.
