21 Days: Revive Us AgainSýnishorn
DAY 8: REALIGNING PRIORITIES
Reflection:
What is the “air” of our lives? The one thing we cannot do without? Is it truly Jesus, or is it our pleasures (phones, social media, holidays, dramas, online shopping), relationships, careers, studies, and responsibilities? Are we consulting God throughout the day, or have we compartmentalised Him to church activities and our helpdesk?
Prioritizing involves giving up something for the greater worth of what is prioritized. When things are lined up in the right order of priority, everything falls into place. God needs to be at the centre of and not just a part of our lives. All other duties must give way to our highest calling (Luke 10:40-42).
Ultimately, “only one thing worth being concerned about” is our relationship with God - sitting at His feet and hearing His voice. This means learning to recognize when to set aside our other commitments and distractions to spend time in God's presence. It means relinquishing everything we have to obtain Christ, the Treasure, the Pearl of Great Value (Matt 13:44-46). God is not Lord at all if He is not Lord of all.
God sees our hard work and patient endurance, but He is always after our first love (Rev 2:1-7). Do we love Him and each other as much as we have ever done? Allow God to help us to always live in first love for Him.
Response:
Re-evaluate how you are prioritizing your relationship with God. Set aside time each day for prayer and Bible study, even if you start with just 15 minutes. Take time to surrender to God and consult His will in every decision.
Ask God to reveal the areas in your life that you are prioritizing over Him. Repent from making idols out of them and ask God to reveal what you need to do to keep your first love for Him (Rev 2:5).

About this Plan
Revival. We may have sung it. Prayed for it. Declared it. Most times, revivals are invisible, gradual, and start up quietly in the place that matters the most – in our hearts.
