21 Days: Revive Us AgainSýnishorn
DAY 6: LEAVING THE PAST BEHIND
Reflection:
We are a byproduct of our past, and past experiences have the power to shape our lives. The weight of our past hurts, failures, and disappointments can lead to dryness and spiritual death, a picture very much like the valley of dry bones.
Consider the Samaritan woman's encounter with Jesus in John 4:4-30. Her past was marred by broken relationships and unfulfilled longings. She came to the well at an unusual hour to avoid judgment from the people in the town. When she met Jesus, He offered living water, a source of spiritual revival to quench her deepest thirst.
When we allow God to heal past hurts and remove the burden of negative experiences, we can experience revival. Just as Jesus brought new life to the Samaritan woman, He can revive our spirits, offering fresh hope and restoration. God's grace, like living water, breathes life into our past and present, filling us with renewed purpose and transforming our dry bones into a vibrant, revived life.
Response:
What is stopping you from moving forward? Be open and honest before God and choose not to remain in the past. He promises that He is close to the brokenhearted and rescues those whose spirits were crushed.
Open up your heart and allow God to reveal wounds and hurts from the past that you may still carry today. Ask God for His love and healing in these areas of your life.

About this Plan
Revival. We may have sung it. Prayed for it. Declared it. Most times, revivals are invisible, gradual, and start up quietly in the place that matters the most – in our hearts.
