Guided Prayers for Afternoon Walks

DAY 1 OF 5

Salvation:

No matter the challenges you are facing in this very moment, if you have breath in your lungs, if the sun rose over your home this morning, then you and I have something to be grateful for.

Gratitude is not just a mindfulness practice; it is a spiritual posture of turning our hearts toward Jesus and thanking Him for His grace and His love and His goodness.

Isaiah 59:1 reads, “Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.”

The imagery is beautiful.

I'm stuck at the bottom of a well.

I just need an arm to reach down. An extended hand grasping mine. And the strength to pull me out.

I need someone out there on solid ground to hear my cries.

Isaiah reminds us: Do you know who God is?

Do you really think His arm is too short to reach you in your distress?

Do you think His ears cannot hear every beat within your heart?

This is the Almighty we are talking about. He reaches in and He pulls us out.

I'm Benjamin Windle. Would you pray with me? Take a moment to ground yourself. Take a deep breath. Center your mind on the presence of the Holy Spirit.

God is with us.

God sees. God cares. God knows.

Dear God, today we step into a posture of prayer... we're stuck. We can't seem to see the exit sign or scramble out of this hole. But now we see Your mighty hand reaching down into our need and brokenness.

God, you are strong.

You are able.

You are powerful.

Thank you for lifting us out of the miry clay and setting our feet on the rock.

God today thank you for Your mighty hand that reaches, and Your listening ear that hears.

We pray this together in Jesus' name. Amen”

Today, let's rest in the hands of God.

God saves. God rescues. He redeems. And He can reach us right now.
