Now What? Living a Transformed LifeSýnishorn
SURROUND
On this journey, as you are taking inventory internally, it is important to also take inventory externally of who is surrounding you. The Bible says, "It is not good for man to be alone" (Genesis 2:18). We know that we are built to live in community, however, it’s not about the quantity of relationships you have, but the quality and depth of them. Community has the power to push or pull us away from our purpose. It is key to surround ourselves with people who love us where we are but also push us to be more like Jesus. Now is a great time to think through who those people are, and share with them what the Lord has just done in your life. There is power in our vulnerability and authenticity! When we live within the context of community we are able to learn, grow, and find encouragement in our struggles and our successes. We were not meant to live life alone.
Reflection Questions:
- Who is in your community that you identify as an intentional friend that God has connected you with?
- In what ways can you continue to invest in and grow within those types of relationships?
- Are there relationships you need to set new boundaries with?
Prayer:
God, thank You for surrounding me with specific people to encourage me in this season. I pray that You help me identify, evaluate, and build intentional godly relationships in my life. I also pray that You help me set the right boundaries for relationships that may be pulling me from purpose. Thank You that there is power in my testimony, and I pray that You guide me in sharing what You are doing internally with those around me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen!
