Prayers for Writers: Praying God's Word Over Your Writing

DAY 5 OF 5

Prayer Topic for Writers: Praise

Father, I praise You for the writing life You’ve called me to. What a privilege to write words that could potentially impact the lives of others eternally. You have turned my trials into a testimony. What our spiritual enemy meant for evil, you meant for good.

Like Hannah, my heart rejoices in You, Lord. In my weakness, You have made me strong. Though enemies have tried to paralyze me and keep me from writing, You have aided me in overcoming all resistance.

In those moments when I’ve been ready to throw in the towel, You have rescued me by giving me a renewed vision. I praise You for being a warrior who goes before me. You are a firm foundation that never crumbles.

I dedicate any “book babies” to You and Your glory. May the books I write serve Your ultimate purpose. My hope is in Christ alone. No other god has done what You’ve done. I praise Your holy name with every ounce of breath I can muster.

In the praiseworthy name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.

About this Plan

Prayers for Writers: Praying God's Word Over Your Writing

There’s something powerful about praying God’s Word over our lives and writing. By ‘praying God’s Word, ’ we’re talking about piggybacking off words and prayers found throughout Scripture. Utilizing God’s Word in our prayers is like laying down kindling to help start a fire in our own hearts. If we seek to write words of lasting substance, we must be people of prayer who are also led by the Holy Spirit.
