When discussing accountability, we often think of it in terms of others holding us responsible. But the truth is, it starts with us. We need to have integrity within ourselves, keeping the promises we make to ourselves before fulfilling them for others.

Now, let's explore the three levels of accountability:

1. Accountability to self

2. Accountability to others

3. Accountability to God

But why is accountability so important? Well, it's all about living a life of integrity. When we have integrity, we are true to ourselves both inside and out. She embraced the God of Israel and cared for her mother-in-law, even as a foreigner. Ruth's personal accountability led her to work in the fields, and eventually, she found herself lying at the feet of Boaz, her kinsman redeemer. Through accountability to herself, she became part of the lineage of grace by marrying Boaz.

Remember, accountability to yourself is even more important than accountability to others.
