Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 6

DAY 19 OF 22

Jesus, who was without sin, paid the price for our salvation. He is our Predecessor, who changed our position forever. We have now, through His death on the cross, gained access to His glory. Jesus, being Holy, has declared us holy. This means that in Him, we are Holy. We refer to this as Positional Sanctification.

We distinguish Positional Sanctification from Progressive Sanctification, where we discover more and more of who we are in Him and who He is in us every day. We discover this revelation as we spend intimate time with God.

We discover His love, grace, goodness, favor, and provision for us as we live in a daily relationship with Him. It is in times of adversity that we discover more of His power in us. It motivates us to live with a more profound conviction of who He is. He is our perfect guide.

In 2 Corinthians 5:21, we read, "God made him who had no sin to become sin for us so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God".

By His love for you, He wants to guide you to the full understanding of who you truly are. Can you see yourself as he sees you? What does your new position in Christ imply to you in your everyday life?
