Release: 10 Days to Embrace God's Plan for Your LifeSýnishorn
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.
ISAIAH 40:31
When I think of a newborn, I think of the ultimate definition of trust. In Merriam-Webster, trust is defined as “assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something.” Little babies born into an unknown world rely on everyone around them to meet their every need. As they grow and become aware, they either understand it is safe to place their trust in their family or they find out they have very few people who they can trust. Over time, the trust they have in safe places gives way to protective walls.
When we come to learn about Christ, it matters how we process our relationship with Him. He can be the loving Father, even if your earthly father was not so loving. He can be the trusted presence you need to thrive, even if you are used to fighting in a world where abuse, neglect, and abandonment run rampant. Ask God how to release the past, the shame, the guilt, the rejection, the neglect. Whatever it is that is standing in the way of complete trust in God as His child, let’s identify it and then make a conscious decision to release it. This walk of intimacy will give you the strength to overcome every barrier that is keeping you from living in complete and total freedom in Christ. As you trust in Him, He will align you with His purpose, allowing you to soar above the clouds and the storm. It is with this reliance on Him that you will gain new sight to see how to run your race without burnout or fainting. Find your area of mistrust, give it to God, and then soar!
Prayer:
Father, even when I don’t understand why, how, or where, help me trust in You with all things. Release me from any bondage of past relationships that affects how I view You and how I trust in You. Heal every area. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
