Release: 10 Days to Embrace God's Plan for Your LifeSýnishorn
Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything He had spoken came true. JOSHUA 21:45
During the holiday season, my kids love to tell my husband and me what they want for Christmas. They don’t know if we will get it for them, but that doesn’t stop them from asking us. This is an example of the foundation of hope. It’s the ability to ask, not knowing the end result but knowing the provider can make it happen. This concept is clear in the area of faith. It is even more clear in the promises of God throughout the Bible. One thing we can rest in is that God will fulfill His promises. Some of the promises are unconditional. They will happen no matter what we do. God’s love is an example of this. His grace, which is unearned favor, is another example.
As you walk through this season of uncertainty, remember God’s promises. Write them down. Someone once said that when you read the Word of God, do it with intentionality. Highlight the promises of God. Mark them to help when you get to a place where you need to be reminded of what God says about your situation. He does His best work in the middle of our faith. At times, it seems like He doesn’t see us, hear us, or work on our behalf, but that is where we activate our faith and our ask. We find the promises in Scripture and speak them back to our Father.
This season, you may not see the way, and you may not understand what is happening but know that it is in the unseen that your faith is growing the most. Embracing uncertainty is about embracing the foundation of faith. It is about embracing trust, and this is where you grow roots down into His Word. This place you’re in is the ground of your next level. A level built on God’s Word and faith can withstand the weight of the issues and circumstances of life. It can withstand God’s purpose for you and His promises over your life.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your many promises. If I have said or done anything that has stopped the flow of blessings over my life, I repent. Help me know and embrace Your perfect will and Your promises for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
