Rerouting

DAY 4 OF 25

It’s one thing to be lost; it’s quite another to admit we’re lost. We’ve all had times when we were so confident in the direction we were headed, or so sure of the turn that we made, that admitting we may not be right feels impossible. We would rather stay in our valley than admit we don’t quite know the way out. We would rather stay stuck than surrender our control. However, admitting we’re lost isn’t the defeat it seems. In fact, surrendering can lead us to victory. When we admit to God that we need Him to guide us, we’re showing that we trust His directions more than our own. We’re acknowledging His steps are the best and we’re willing to follow wherever they lead. While He does provide those directions, it’s up to us to take the first step. We have to surrender. And in doing so, we can put our confidence in Him. What are some things in your life that you need to surrender? If you can, take a walk outside or find a quiet spot in your home. Spend some time in prayer, giving those things over to God. Actively choose to surrender what is coming next and ask God to help you keep your confidence in Him.

About this Plan

Rerouting

No matter the destination you’re trying to reach, the journey to get there comes with twists and turns instead of a straight path. We often have to reroute. In this devotional we’ll dive into what it looks like to reroute and find a new map along the journey. We’ll see many examples of God working to fulfill the plans He created for us.
