Do You Want to Be Successful?Sýnishorn
Pursue the true success
Everyone wants success in life. As children of God, we need to understand the true success that God has designed for us so that we don't waste time and energy on something that is not the most important thing in our lives.
We often judge success from one's wealth, high position, great career, popularity, or comfortable life. Such things seem to make sense in today's world, but they are not the main thing.
Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 6:17, “Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.”
God’s will for us is not wealth because wealth is uncertain. The certain thing is God, who richly gives us everything to enjoy.
Therefore, what is the true measure of success in God's eyes? Romans 11:36 says, " For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever!” The true measure of success for everything we do, be it in school, work, business, ministry, or marriage, is whether it comes from God, by God, and to God.
Today, let's re-examine our work and all aspects of our lives to know if everything comes from God, by God, and to God. If the answer is yes, then you are on the path to true success.
Therefore, true success can be defined: finishing everything that God desires with His way and strength, and surrendering all the results for His glory.
Reflection:
1.What is your focus in life? Career, marriage, finance, or the Kingdom of Heaven?
2. Do you always include God in everything you do, through prayer and thanksgiving?
