Glorifying Him Through And In Our Self-Care

DAY 5 OF 6

HOBBIES

What are your hobbies? Work, kids and other obligations don’t count.

Do your hobbies glorify Him?

Life is busy. We all have too many places to be and too much to do. How could a hobby possibly be part of our self-care, let alone a way to commune with God?

Having a hobby (I think the weirder the better) is a part of a well-balanced life. Many of us work too much and do not do anything fun or that fills up our soul.

What do you like to do? What makes you lose track of time? What helps you feel like you are giving back or helping others? Take some time today to write and think about things you would love to do if you had a free day.

Hiking? Crafts? Gardening? Reading? Volunteering?

Finding something you enjoy that somehow gives back to the greater good is the best way to glorify Him. For me, I raise butterflies. Yes, it is the weirdest hobby ever, and I love it.

I give back to this amazing creation of God’s and I see Him and feel Him with every caterpillar I raise and butterfly I release. In my hobby, I both give back, have fun and glorify Him.

What can you do today that does the same?
