Surviving Inadequacy
How many of you have been in a situation where you have done everything you can for an individual, solidify a job, try out for a team, or be the best friend, sister, or significant other you can be? After all, is said and done, are you still burdened with the feeling of not being good enough, wanting to be seen or heard, needing to be picked next, waiting for your turn to be celebrated?
You may walk away from the situation feeling empty or left with a void because you believed you were worthy of the opportunity presented. Well worthy you are! There is someone who can do for you what man can never satisfy. He is the one and only All-Powerful, All-Knowing God, whose grace is sufficient and nothing is too hard for Him. Sometimes the “No” or “Not yet” you receive is a blessing in disguise because God has something bigger and better in store for you! When you put all of your faith in God, you should be confident in knowing any promotion you receive is not by Man, but by God! When you walk with purpose, boldness, and confidence, the right opportunity will present at the right time. Trying to fill a void on your own is temporary. God can take your feeling of inadequacy and use it to qualify you for any position, connect you with the right individual to leverage your business or place the right person(s) in your life who will support and encourage you to full capacity if you fully rely on His Word. First, you must accept that it all happens in His timing.
2 Corinthians 12:9 states that God’s power works best in your weakness. This is when we should rely on God the most! There is no need to run from your feeling of inadequacy, but instead, trust God will use what makes you feel weak to help you feel strong.
It’s time to re-evaluate where your focus lies. Try God! Submit your feeling of emptiness to Him, and watch Him make you whole in ways others could not fulfill. When you realize you are enough for Him, celebrate the breaking of yet another chain!
Today is Day 4, and you should be celebrating your journey! Share this plan with a friend or encourage another to journey towards being a faithful survivor!
