Revival

DAY 6 OF 7

We are so blessed.

Our Heavenly Father has blessed us with amazing gifts— spiritual gifts that enable us to see God’s Kingdom come on Earth as it is in Heaven. These gifts enable us to overcome life’s obstacles by empowering us to walk in the strength of our spirit and not in the weakness of our flesh or this natural world.

Challenges and trials can sometimes dampen or even ‘snuff out’ these wonderful gifts. We can become tired, discouraged, or even lose hope altogether, allowing doubts to flood our minds and cause us to forget the wonderful power of God’s Spirit at work within us. We can so easily lose sight of the truth that God has fully equipped us to be more than conquerors!

Timothy encourages us to keep our gifts ablaze or to fan them into flame as another version says. He also urges us not to fear or be intimidated in sharing our faith. Talking about our personal relationship with Jesus has the wonderful ability to stir up these gifts that might otherwise remain dormant in our lives. It’s in these vulnerable moments that we need God to come through. We may feel nervous or intimidated, but if we press through by faith, these gifts are activated, reinforcing our message and demonstrating the Kingdom of God to the unbeliever we are witnessing to.

Planetshakers Church has established a Food Relief Program in response to the current pandemic. While volunteering recently, a woman felt that she heard from God regarding a leg-related illness in one of the ladies waiting in line to collect food. Stepping out in faith, the volunteer asked the woman if she had a problem with her leg, to which she responded with a surprised “Yes!” Encouraged, she offered to pray for the woman who was instantly healed of her problem. Later that same week, the same woman gave her heart to Jesus. Not only was this a wonderful experience for this lady who collided with God’s Kingdom that day, but also the volunteer who ‘fanned her gifts into flame’ and played a part in the outworking of a supernatural miracle. This woman of faith was so encouraged by the encounter and inspired to step out again in faith, in the future.

If you’re feeling a little spiritually damp or unmotivated at the moment, then this is your remedy: Step out in faith with the gifts God has given you, and watch what He will do through you!

Prayer:

Dear Jesus,

I am so thankful that You have given me spiritual gifts and I want to use them for Your glory. I am sorry I have let things dampen the fire within me, but today I want to fan them back into flame. Please give me divine opportunities to demonstrate Your Kingdom to those who don’t know You and fill me with Your power, grace, and love. Let Your Kingdom come on Earth as it is in Heaven through me. In Jesus' name, I pray.  Amen.

About this Plan

Revival

Jesus came to revive us. We were dead in our sins and needed to be revived. Revival means to be restored back to life and that’s exactly what Jesus did when He died on the cross and rose again. His death brought us back to life! Jesus came to give us ‘life and life to the full’ so His revival power can touch any area of our lives!
