RevivalSýnishorn
We live in a darkened world.
Sin darkens this world and those who don’t know Jesus, walk around unable to see their lives clearly. Fortunately, Jesus came to bring light!
When we ask Jesus to come into our lives and are born again, light gets turned on in our hearts. We become enlightened and are able to overcome the darkness. What a wonderful gift salvation is! We become aware of the truth and the truth then sets us free. This is another way in which we experience the revival power of God through Jesus.
Have you ever woken in the night in an unfamiliar room and had to find your way through the darkness to the bathroom? These journeys can be a challenge, to say the least. There are often unseen obstacles along the way that we bump into, the darkness makes us more tentative and we move a lot slower, and sometimes we even feel fear that wouldn’t otherwise exist if we could see our environment clearly. Unfamiliar noises in the darkness can play with our imagination and affect us negatively as we strain to see a clear and safe pathway ahead of us. Even though our eyes eventually adjust somewhat, we are still restricted in the absence of guiding light.
In life, we can eventually adjust or adapt to darkness to some extent and it often isn’t until we are confronted with light that we realize what we have been missing. We awaken to a whole new reality— colors are more vivid, details can be seen and appreciated, clarity of vision is restored and best of all, we can clearly see where to go.
This is a great picture of what it means when Jesus— the Light of the World— comes into our life. Suddenly we can see clearly, fully enjoy and appreciate the many ‘colors’ of life, and can navigate our journey with greater ease. Best of all, fear loses its power!
Prayer
Dear Jesus,
I want Your light to shine in my life, overcoming the darkness and bringing me into greater clarity, understanding, and color. Please illuminate my path for me and remove all of the restrictions darkness brings in my life. Jesus, turn on the light! Amen.

About this Plan
Jesus came to revive us. We were dead in our sins and needed to be revived. Revival means to be restored back to life and that’s exactly what Jesus did when He died on the cross and rose again. His death brought us back to life! Jesus came to give us ‘life and life to the full’ so His revival power can touch any area of our lives!
