DAY 5 OF 8

LEAD WITH CONSIDERATION

Are you considerate? Do you operate in consideration most of the time, some of the time, or only when it’s beneficial to you? These are questions we should continue to ask ourselves while developing as a leader.

Consideration from a leader is rooted in the beautiful word discipleship. We can’t properly walk in consideration if we’re not aware of how our consideration can affect others. Jesus was very considerate of his disciples.

There are certain things that we will have to understand as God continues to entrust us with others. Not everyone was raised like us. Not everyone has a solid background in Christ. Not everyone understands the word of God the same as others. Being considerate is walking in wisdom and having the understanding that we are all in different places.

Naturally, we must also be considerate with how we play our part in others’ lives. Being mindful of how our behavior or even our habits affect the rest of the team is extremely important in growth. A team’s weakness can become their strength if they all work together. Pulling our weight, staying on time, keeping a great attitude, or turning in things on time shows great godly consideration for others who are also working hard and giving their all. What a great way to be a leader when you’re also showing consideration, not only to those you are discipling, but also to your peers who are in leadership with you.

Consideration is modeled after the heart of Christ. In the world, leadership is always considered, but in Christ, the leader is the considerate one. It’s a place of humility and compassion. Lead with consideration.

About this Plan

SoulSister:Lead

Godly leaders don’t give in to the culture of self or this world, but take directives only from the true living God and follow the life of His son, Jesus Christ. Christ wants to be at the center of our leadership and development; character, compassion, communication, consideration, consistency, community, and the way we love, care, and serve others. Join us on this 8 day study of godly leadership.
