Am I the Master’s Choice?

DAY 1 OF 7

Align with the Master’s Vision

When there is an important position to be filled in the company, an inside person with the right abilities and proven track record may get overlooked, and instead, an outsider may be brought in. Persons who were aspiring for the position may attribute varied reasons to this decision. They may wonder why they were not picked up for such a crucial assignment. Some might get upset, demotivated, and may even leave the firm. Let us understand that the leaders/management made the decision after considering such repercussions. The key quality that they look for in an individual is for him/her to ‘wholeheartedly’ believe in the organisation’s vision. This takes precedence over a host of other mandatory skills, competencies and proven track record needed to handle such assignments.

Aligning to the organization’s vision is essential for people playing key roles. It comes by understanding what the organization ultimately wants to achieve. For us to be ‘that person’, it is important to demonstrate by what and how we do it. We have to prove our trustworthiness to the company.

At one point, Abraham’s greatest task was to ensure that the right bride would be found for Isaac. He called his most trustworthy servant, who was not only well experienced but also held the same values. He fully understood the importance of the work assigned to him, the rationale behind the selection process, and the role he would play in fulfilling the ultimate vision of God. He promised in the name of the Lord to complete the work on Abraham’s terms.

When we cultivate the right values and behaviors in our life in the light of God’s Word, the Lord will enable us to carry out our responsibilities.

As we remember Jesus’ birth in a special way today, let’s be reminded He came to earth to pay the penalty on the cross. That was the Father’s vision for Him. What is the Vision/Purpose of your life from God’s point of view and how have you been fulfilling it?

May this be our prayer:

Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart; Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art;

Thou my best thought, by day or by night; Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

About this Plan

Am I the Master’s Choice?

It is essential that we fulfill the responsibility for which we were called by God and hired by our company. What is the Vision/Purpose of your life from God’s point of view and how have you been fulfilling it? Who other than God can guide us in His will and purpose?
