Love Remains Holy Week

DAY 3 OF 8

Jesus spent much of his last days teaching those around him. One particular conversation was sparked when religious leaders and experts of the law asked Jesus a question about law.

The question: Which is the greatest commandment?

The answer: Love. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind… the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Think about what it looks like to love someone with all your heart, soul and strength. Would it have some outward expression? Some tangible offering? Our greatest picture of love is that which is found in scripture. That God, who loved us so much, did not spare his own son. And Jesus, who loved us so much, gave up his own life that we might live.

What might our families, relationships, communities and world look like if we lived that kind of love? How can we love, even now, when we’re literally forced to be separated?

Read Matthew 22: 34-40 again and ask what is God saying to you?
