Jesus: The Death KillerSýnishorn
"Do you believe this?" Jesus asked Martha. Did she believe she could find life in His name?
Martha replied, "Yes, Lord, I have believed that you are the Christ, the Son of God. We have been waiting for you, even he who comes into the world."
The glory of God is found in acknowledging Jesus as the Son of God. He is the resurrection and the life. It is written that we might believe and live. If you are a believer in the Lord Jesus, I want you to be confident in your Savior, the victor, the Death Killer.
I also want you to take comfort in your Savior. The Lord Jesus Christ is the first and final reality. Death is a secondary reality. He has silenced it. He calls it sleep. And though physical death is sorrowful, it is not ultimate.
In a broken world full of despair, we can rest in the knowledge that He will right every wrong. His death and resurrection accomplished our salvation, but His work is not yet complete. We look forward to His return, when death will be swallowed up in complete victory.
Ask yourself the same question Jesus asked of Martha. “Do you believe this?”
