Life On Mission

DAY 27 OF 30

If we have a hope founded on God and have gained a hope-filled perspective of life, we will be carriers of something highly contagious. Pessimism, negativity and discouragement are contagious too.

I just think that hope is more foreign and needed in our city. Imagine if people constantly felt encouraged and filled with expectancy when they were around you.
When people open up to you about the trials and challenges in their lives, you get to respond. Their challenges are like a consuming fire and you get to either place gasoline on it or water. Heaping negativity, hate and frustration will only add gasoline to an already present inferno. Adding hope, understanding and peace is like throwing water onto the fire. It will weaken the fire and bring much needed relief.

This might be the hardest mission for the entire ten weeks! For the next seven days speak nothing but life and encouragement.

It is so easy to be harsh and sharp with your words. Speak optimistic words, life-giving words, bold words, healing words and words of comfort.

Speak about the good things of life and declare life. Make it a point to say nothing negative at all. If/when you fail, be quick to repent and rephrase! Give each other grace because this is going to be a challenge for all of us!

Pray that God will help you and empower you to speak life and blessing. Pray that God helps you to be a carrier of peace amidst the chaos of our world.

About this Plan

Life On Mission

Welcome to the Life on Mission devotional. We can often get overwhelmed with the demands of life and chaos of our world. We quickly forget that God has a mission for us while on earth. There are amazing things for you to see, do and accomplish and God empowers you to do all of them. This devotional is meant to get your life out of a rut and onto God’s mission for your life. Every third day there will be a “mission” for you to apply to your life. We’re God’s people, on a mission, to reflect his goodness to the entire world. Let’s do this!
