Pushing With Perseverance to Purpose Sýnishorn
Prayer Produces God’s Presence
We serve a God that not only is love, but we also serve a God that is IN love. (Read that again)
Even now as a Pastor it’s sometimes hard for me to grasp that thought. It’s hard to comprehend that God is so in love with me that He gave His Son to rescue me from the grip of hell and death and that He wants to speak with me daily. I think a lot of times we can take that open communication for granted. Don’t get so caught up in chasing worldly accolades that you forget to spend time with your creator who already has a purpose designed for you.
When we know God, we know His promises. How do we get to know God better? We spend time with Him in prayer. Prayer may not always change the heart of God, but it always changes our heart. When our heart is softened to the word of God we feel His presence more often.
Focus:
If you’ve found what breaks your heart, next pray about how you can take action. Compassion without action is just observation. Find a church, organization, or maybe even start an initiative to help people get involved to make change and show the love of Christ to your community.
