Thriving in Your Singleness

DAY 5 OF 7

 Eliminate the Comparison Trap

Comparison is the thief of JOY! Don’t compare. You might see your friends, coworkers, or social media friends getting engaged, married, and having babies. You see cute pictures of your friend with her boyfriend. They look so happy, right? There are many genuine, happy, loving couples out there. Social media is not always what it appears to be. Focus on all the good things happening in your life. Walk with the spirit of contentment. God will send you the person designed for you in His perfect timing. If you aren’t content, pray, and ask God to help you with that area.

In your season of singleness, trust God’s timing. Our time is not God’s time.

Don’t fret, don’t lose hope, don’t worry, don’t become anxious, don’t get annoyed or frustrated, don’t do anything crazy. Don’t settle because of the amount of time you have to wait! God sees the beginning, middle, and end. If God is making you wait, just wait! God is working behind the scenes on things you don’t even know about. You don’t want anything before God’s timing. God’s plan for your life never expires. Whatever you are waiting for, trust God, prepare, wait with expectation, and thrive. God’s timing is perfect!

Today’s challenge:  Write five things that you are grateful for.
