'BOUT THAT LIFE
Calling yourself a Christian doesn't make it so. The Bible gives a clear explanation of what it takes to follow Christ and even warns us to 'count the cost' before deciding to give our lives to Christ. This Bible plan will look at some of the 'heroes of the faith' who were, as we'll put it, 'Bout That Life. They did what it took to follow God through hardship, hell or high water.
In a time in humanity when ease & convenience dictate our decisions, we need to be reminded that following God isn't convenient: and it was never meant to be.
Anyone can call themselves a Christian: it's a completely different thing entirely to do what it takes to surrender your whole self to Christ & press on towards the goal. This plan should help to expose some ways in which we are actually quite different from the heroes of the faith we love to read about, and hopefully, will inspire us to put Christ first, no matter what it takes.
Practical Steps: Take some time to ask God to humble you & to use this Bible Plan to encourage & strengthen you.
About this Plan
A famous mixed martial arts fighter, Ronda Rousey, popularized this phrase, 'Bout That Life, in 2015 at the height of her career. She explained that many people want the glory of success, but are unwilling to do what it takes to get there. This Bible Plan looks at the lives of a few Biblical characters who were definitely 'Bout That Life: willing to do whatever it took to follow God. God's calling has remained the same through centuries: the question is, what will our response be?
