12 Ways God Loves You: Practices That Form Strong Attachments To God And God’s PeopleSýnishorn
Mine and special. Strong bonds make us belong in a special way. God is possessive. The “special” in a bond is different than the special of “that is really nice” because bonds are possessive. God sees us as special and calls us His. The ancient term for showing someone they are special is to extend “grace” to them. When we receive grace we become God’s very special ones. When we are given special favor without earning it, we receive grace as a free gift but not without reciprocity. Grace is always given with the expectation of our grateful attachment.
Do we to experience God as special, unique, and ours?
