Q1) Who’s someone you know that is generous? What makes them generous?
Q2) What things may sometimes stop us from being generous?
What does the Bible say about generosity?
- God is generous to us.
You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that by His poverty he could make you rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9)
- God wants us to be generous.
The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. (Proverbs 11:25)
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. (2 Corinthians 9:7-8)
