Life Seasons

DAY 3 OF 3

Ecclesiastes tells us that there are a variety of seasons for so many activities of life. Some positive, others negative. Ever moving, ever changing, but never ending. Even after this world a new season lies beyond.

After the pain of watching Jesus hang on a cross, die and be buried, His disciples once again received hope, as they experienced Jesus’ miraculous resurrection.  A new season was upon them and they thought Jesus would immediately “restore the kingdom of Israel.” However, Jesus told His disciples just before He ascended into heaven (Acts 1:7), “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.” God had another plan!

Jesus went on (Acts 1:8), “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Jesus redefined what the next season would be.

So, in whatever season you find yourself, this is your season for this time. God has a plan. Lean into it. Make the best of it and be prepared for the next, since no one is exempt from change. Welcome it in and enjoy it, as you look forward to the many life seasons ahead.

About this Plan

Life Seasons

Seasons are a great example that the one constant in life is change. The question is, are you ready for the change if it is time? It seems when life reveals the need for change, the spiritual side of us also has opportunity. Join Dave in discovering that while our souls last forever, we still have opportunity to grow and become more like the One who made us.
