SAVED AND HEALED
Ephesians 2:8 for by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast.
Salvation is freely given by God’s grace and received through faith. You can’t earn your salvation or healing by your works or performance.
Salvation is the Greek word ‘sozo’ meaning ‘to save: deliver, protect, heal, preserve, do well, be or make whole’. Salvation is a package deal – when you put your faith, attention, focus and trust in Christ’s sacrifice, healing comes as well as forgiveness, deliverance and eternal life.
So, the Ephesians 2:8 translation includes ‘For by grace you have been healed through faith.
Sometimes the word ‘sozo’ is used for healing (eg Matthew 9:22, Mark 10:52), and sometimes for eternal life (eg Acts 4:12) because they are both part of the same salvation. The combining of forgiveness of sin and healing so often seen in Scripture is not to suggest that all sickness is a result of an individual’s sin, but that it had its’ original entry point into mankind through sin, both being dealt with through Jesus’ sacrifice for us.
Religious teaching that has often arisen from experience rather than God’s Truth says that your healing may not come, may be a process you have to work through or even put off until eternity but that is not consistent with Scripture. God wants you well and has already provided your healing for you in Jesus- it’s not put off; it’s not a maybe but it is done and it is yours!
Some people are told that they do not have enough faith and that’s why they are not healed. I’m letting you know that you already have enough faith to receive a miracle- to each one has been given a measure of faith (Romans 12:3) and Jesus said that the smallest amount of faith, that of a mustard seed, was enough for nothing to be impossible for you (Matthew 17:20). It’s not the amount of faith but what you put that seed of faith in- put it into truth!
Don’t worry if you feel weak or don’t know everything. Put that little seed of faith into what the Bible declares that God has already done for you and it is enough for you to receive a miracle.
About this Plan
Jesus provided healing for us just as much as forgiveness through His finished work of the Cross. God has not made this difficult to receive but a simple faith that focuses on seeing Jesus and what He has already done for you, positions you for the power of God that is enough to heal 'every kind of sickness and every kind of disease'.
