FIVE WAYS TO PRAY

DAY 5 OF 5

PRAY WITH PERSISTENCE

Throughout this devotional, our goal has been to set out a clear pathway for you to pray well. We’ve talked about praying with purpose, praying with pain, praying with people and praying with preparation. On this final morning we wanted to encourage you to always pray with persistence.

In our world today, things are happening at a rapid pace, and it only seems as if it’s speeding up, this can often effect our relationship with God. We have been hardwired by the world around us to expect things quickly, for some of us, even the microwave can seem to slow.

This fast paced culture has unfortunately eroded our sense of patience and long suffering, a trait that God greatly admires. The fact is, despite how much the world around us speeds up, God’s timing hasn’t, and He seems to have a habit of doing things slower than we’d sometimes like, but God’s timing is never wrong.

Let’s not give up praying and believing for something if we don’t see an answer straight away. I’ve found many times, that God is doing something in me as much as I’m asking Him to do something for me. God not only wants to help us and provide for us, He also wants to enlarge us so that we have the capacity to carry what we’re asking for.

We hope this final scripture encourages you to pray always and stay in faith!
