Easter - Victory Over DeathSýnishorn
You have everything in Christ!
Every year, Christians celebrate Easter to remember Christ’s resurrection. Above and beyond this Jewish and Christian tradition, we’re told the most beautiful love story that led God to exchange the life of His only Son, Jesus, for ours.
The Bible tells us what Jesus endured to save us: “But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. ... He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth.” (see Isaiah 53:4-7)
Maybe you sometimes deny yourself God's infinitely manifold grace...If so, remember that because Jesus obeyed, even to the point of death on a cross, and descended into Sheol before rising again on the third day, He gave you unlimited access to the Father!
Be filled with joy, considering everything Jesus did for you, for me!
- He experienced the greatest of humiliations for you to hold your head high again. (See Isaiah 53:3-10)
- He destroyed sin’s power: you’re free from its slavery and can access salvation. (See John 8:36)
- He was separated from His Father to reconcile you with your Creator. (See Hebrews 10:19-22)
- He conquered death to give you eternal life. (See Romans 6:23)
You have everything in Christ: peace, liberty, forgiveness, victory, and eternal life!
I invite you to celebrate Jesus’s resurrection, not only at Easter or on certain Sundays, but every day! Thank Him for everything He endured out of love for you, so that you can have life in abundance. (See John 10:10)
Let’s praise God for this magnificent, lifegiving divine exchange…“Our Father, how do I thank You for this priceless gift, for giving Your Son Jesus’s life to save mine? In turn, I want to give You my life and follow You. I want to express how grateful I am to You. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen!”
Live your life to the full!
Thanks for existing!
