Right now, I want you to think of three celebrities currently known for a mistake or wrong choice. They could have made a bad business decision, made an immoral lifestyle choice, had unethical behavior, etc. There are many examples, but I want you to think of just three.

Now, I want you to think of three celebrities that are known for doing good. They could be known for their charitable or humanitarian work, how they are dedicated to their spouse and family, how they live out their Christian faith, etc. There are many examples out there of this type of person as well.

Now I want to ask you, which person or example would you rather follow? We can either model the examples of the good or the bad. It is a decision we have to make.

If you are a Christian, God has given you the Bible, and you can learn from the examples of success and mistakes of many different individuals. Hebrews 11 is known as the Hall of Faith. Take some time to read through it today!

This passage gives examples of people who pursued success through God. These people were not perfect, but they were willing to do what God had called them to do through faith!

What is faith? Hebrews 11:1 tells us, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” This means that when we have faith, we have confidence that it will happen even though we cannot see it.

I challenge you to begin watching those around you and learning from their success and mistakes. Learn from their mistakes, and don’t repeat them. Model after any individuals with a strong faith in God and are examples of pursuing success through Him.

Lastly, dig into God’s Word every day and find examples you can learn from. God will speak to you through His Word. Then pray to Him and ask Him to help you live by His examples laid before you!
