chapter nine
1and passing by did he see a man, a blind man from the birth on. 2and his disciples did him ask, so to say; Rebbe, who did sin, the this one or his parents, that he is born become blind? 3did Yehoshua answer: not he has sinned, nor the parents his; only so that the works of Hashem should revealed to be in him. 4we must do the works of him, who did me send, all as long as it is day; the night comes on, when anyone can not work. 5while I am in the world, am I the light of the world. 6this having said, did he spit on the earth and made clay from the saliva and him smeared the eyes with the clay, 7and did to him say: go, wash yourself in pool Shiloach, (translated means it, sent). he did therefore go away, and did himself wash, and did return seeing. 8and the neighbors, and those, who had him previously seen, that he was a beggar, did say: (question) is not it? the one, who is sat and begging? 9others did say: he is it; others did say: no, but he is like to him. that one has said: I am him. 10did they to him say: how then did your eyes open become? 11that one did answer: the man, who is called Yehoshua, did make clay, and smeared (on) my eyes, and to we said: go to the Shiloach and wash yourself; and I did go and did me wash, and am seeing become. 12did they to him say: where is he? says he: I know not.
13take they and lead to the Pharisees that one, who is previously was blind. 14and the day was a Sabbath, when Yehoshua had made the clay, and him opened his eyes. 15therefore did also the Pharisees him again ask, how he did seeing become. and he did to them say: he did lay clay on my eyes, and I did me wash, and I see. 16did some of the Pharisees say: the this one man is not of Hashem, because he keeps not up Sabbath. and other did say: how can a man, a sinner, do such signs? and it is become a dispute among them. 17and again did they say to the blind man: what you say about him, that he did you (SG) open your eyes? he however did say: he is a prophet. 18the Judaeans did therefore not believe about him, that he was blind, and is sighted become, until they did call the parents of the seeing used to be, 19and they asked, so to say: (question) is the this one your son, who you (PL) say, that he is born become blind? how then sees he now? 20did his parents answer and say: we know, that the this one is our son, and that he was born become blind; 21how however he sees now, know we not; or who it has him opened his eyes, know we not; ask him, he is an adult/of age, he will speak for self alone. 22this did his parents say, because they did fear had before the Judaeans: because the Judaeans had already had agreed, that when someone will him acknowledge for the Moshiach, shall he put become in excommunicated from shul into. 23therefore did his parents say: he is a adult, ask him. 24they have therefore to the second (one) time called the man, who was blind, and said to him: render glory to Hashem; we know, that the this one man is a sinner. 25has that one answered: (question) he is sinful know I not; one thing know I yes, that I was blind and now see I. 26they have therefore said to him: what has he you (SG) done? how has he opened your eyes? 27did he them answer: I have after all you (PL) already told, and you (PL) has self not to listen; why want you (PL) again to hear? (question) want you (PL) also to be his disciples? 28and they have him reviled, and said; you (SG) are that one's disciple, we however are Moses' disciples. 29we know, that Hashem has spoken to Moses; however concerning the this, know we not, from where he is. 30did the man answer and said to them: look in the this lies here the remarkable, that you (PL) know not from where he is, and he has me opened my eyes. 31we know, that Hashem hears not any sinners; but if someone is a fearer of heaven and does His will, the this hears he indeed. 32from forever on is it not heard become, that someone shall have opened the eyes of a blind born. 33if the this one would not was of Hashem, would he nothing be able do. 34did they answer and said to him: you (SG) are wholly born become in sin, and you (SG) teach us? and did him throw out/expelled outside.
35Yehoshua has heard, that they have him thrown out; and finding him, did he say: (question) do you believe in the Son of Man? 36that one did answer and said; and who is the one, L-rd, that I shall believe in him? 37did Yehoshua say to him: you (SG) have him seen, and the (one), who speaks with you (SG), is the one. 38and he has said: L-rd, I believe! and has self bowed to him. 39and Yehoshua did say: unto judgment am I come in the world into, so that the (ones), who see not, should see, and the (ones) seeing should become blind. 40and some of the Pharisees, who are was with him, did this hear, and did say to him: (question) are we also blind? 41did Yehoshua to them say: if you (PL) would have been blind, would you (PL) not have any sin; now however say you (PL): we see; therefore remains your sin.
