Yesus mengajak Petrus dan kedua anak Zebedeus bersama-Nya. Lalu Ia mulai merasa sedih dan gelisah. Kata Yesus kepada mereka, “Hati-Ku sangat sedih, seperti mau mati rasanya. Tinggallah di sini dan berjaga-jagalah bersama-Ku.” Lalu Ia pergi agak jauh dari tempat mereka. Ia sujud dan berdoa, “Bapa, jikalau boleh, jangan biarkan Aku minum dari cawan. Tetapi janganlah keinginan-Ku yang terjadi, melainkan keinginan-Mu.”
