Day #3: Pray for Strong Faith!

Being a first responder means seeing others on their worst day. It means seeing the worst of humanity, day in and day out. It means seeing the effects of abuse, neglect, and rape. First responders talk to victims who have lost all hope in humanity. Let us pray for our first responder to have amplified faith.

If there is anything we have observed through our spouse, it is that people are searching for something. I pray that God would use us, as spouses, to encourage our first responder as they deal with the immediate effects of sin, darkness, and hate.

Let us pray that our first responder would be a light to those he helps - whether it is at the hospital, at someone’s home, or at a major event or incident he responds to. We pray that first responders would be that ray of hope or calming presence that people are desperately searching for.

Today we also pray for our first responder’s faith. Whether they are in contact with a rape or attempted suicide victim – let’s pray that God would give him the words he needs to calm someone’s spirit and be a light in a very dark time. Let us pray that he would have the strength he needs to be a light to his co-workers. Please help him to turn to God when he feels as though the heaviness of the world is on his shoulders.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

Today I want to pray for all those who are hurting - even those facing battles only You know about. Please be with my first responder as he continues to see the worst of humanity, day in and day out. Please amplify his faith. Please help him to be a light for You in a very dark world. Please let him be that calming presence that people are searching so desperately for. Please be with my first responder and restore his hope every single day.

In Jesus' Name,

Amen
